But great LITTLE unit., This review is from: Techni Mobili Seguro Mobile Lateral 3 Drawer Wood File Cabinet in Graphite (Office Product) First off the title is wrong. This is not a filing cabinet. Inside the left door is just one shelf which you can rest things upon. There is no way to make this into a filing cabinet.You should be aware that the cabinet assembled looks significantly smaller than it does online. It's better described as a little, low-lying cabinet with little drawers, that you can rest stuff on. If you can visualise that in your head, you'll be on the right track. I did the measuring based on the numbers provided and it still looks smaller than I imagined. Width-wise, the drawers can hold your printer paper and maybe a CD disc next to it. Heightwise they can probably hold a batch of printer paper with a couple magazines on top. Let me just say that assembly is a major undertaking. Literally every piece of this item is disassembled. That equates to you manually screwing in and putting together about 40 or 50 parts. On top of that, there are parts of this that will stump... One houses the glass top and the other the wood cabinet/hardware. This insured nothing was broken or chipped and made the boxes easy to manuver around. After opening and inspecting the boxes, I loved how all the screws were individually grouped together and labeled, the directions had very little words. I mean hardly any! This isn't that bad of an issue, however it leaves a few items up for debate and/or guesswork. The directions illustrated fairly well what to do in most cases however. The unit took about an hour and a half to complete. I actually took my time and slowly worked thorugh everything to ensure it was done correctly the first time. I am seasoned/skilled at putting things together and I was impressed by the quality of the items. Nothing, besides the back and drawer panels, felt cheap. Read more  Confusing, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Techni Mobili Seguro Mobile Lateral 3 Drawer Wood File Cabinet in Graphite (Office Product) I got this little cart for some storage in a home office living room, and based on the other reviews aware of the small size.This thing was a night mare to assemble and it is really badly designed from a structural sense. Many of the pieces started warping as the cart was put together, and things like the wheels would get in the way and kill any leverage when trying to attach the sides. The hinges proved tricky and i think they are the strongest part of the entire cart. On wood floors, thw wheel lock is pointless cause the cart can just slide. The pure number of screws used lead to blisters. We did try using a drill but the cart was too weak to handle the drill. Now that its all put together its cute, functional, i like storing my laptop under the glass to keep the cats off it. It holds the errant papers, cables, printer paper etc, well enough. I just dont think it'll survive the move to my next apartment. |
