Note the surface areas are laminated with contact paper. A few cautions:1. be careful not to leave the unit in direct sunlight; the contact paper laminate will blister. 2. the particle board components easily strip when attempting to screw the pieces together. You may want to avoid using a screw gun and opt for hand tightening. 3. the feet are prone to breaking free (they pivot). Be careful. The customer service is pretty good since I needed a foot replaced; no problem there. The unit is good for someone who lives in an apartment and plans to move a few times; the unit is light enough to lug around.
