5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice workdesk!, February 18, 2010

This desk looks great and has alot of desktop space. Just received it last night and it was very easy to install. Took me over 3 hours but I was doing it by myself and decided not to use an electric screwdriver to prevent overtightened screws or damages, yes call me cautious :P

Anyway, the thing that impressed me from beginning to end for the installation was the well packaged parts and especially very well-labeled parts leading to major ease of installation. The instruction manual is very well-detailed and points out exactly which part number and screw number to use at each step. Very idiot-proof in my opinion. All pieces arrived in great condition. The keyboard plank had a minor scratch on the rear surface but nothing to really upset me about. One screw did not have its head indented properly so I couldn't use the Phillips screwdriver but thank goodness a bag of spare screws was included for each of the approximate 8 screw types. This is a nice luxury I rarely see other... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Great desk at a great price, February 4, 2010

I actually purchased this desk directly from [...] (through Amazon.com) because it was about $20.00 cheaper. The desk is pretty solid and enough space for all of my computer peripherals and more. It took a little over an hour to assemble myself, but would have likely easier with an additional pair if hands.

I was worried that the bolts would be cheap aluminum, as I have experienced with other desks, but to my surprise everything was solid.

3.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't hold up to daily use, July 16, 2011
This review is from: TECHNI MOBILI L-Shape Corner Wood,Metal Computer Workstation in Mahogany (Kitchen)
I was completely thrilled when I first receive this desk. As the other reviews state, it looks good, goes together easy, and seems very strong. After a year of 5x a week use it is just about ready for the trash pile.

The mahogany finish is just a vinyl sticker placed over the wood. For whatever reason it is loosing all adhesion on my desk and pooling up in big bubbles on the side panels and areas of the top surface. On the edges it is peeling away and has actually become a bit of a hazard. I've cut my finger on the material twice now.

I give it three stars because it is so inexpensive but a year of simple non abusive office work should not destroy a desk so quickly. I have other comparable office furniture that is 10+ years old in better shape than this one after a year.

But for the price it is a good buy if you only plan on keeping it a couple of years.
